Abbey Perreault is a writer and producer who splits time between Cambridge and Nairobi.

Her written work has appeared in Narratively, Atlas Obscura, The Indy, and beyond. She also served as a contributing reporter and producer for The Atlas Obscura Podcast, where one of her episodes was featured on LeVar Burton Reads.

Abbey received her MFA in fiction from Boston University, where she taught undergraduate creative writing and was a Leslie Epstein Global Fellow.

Across mediums and genres, her writing explores environmental histories and human–nonhuman connections in a time of late-stage capitalism and environmental decline. She is currently thinking a lot about sperm whales and working on a (related) novel.
